On December 6, 2018, Alexander couldn't yet walk but he could climb and he managed to get onto the fireplace ledge so that he could stare out the window and daydream. I captured this photo of him, which isn't anything particular but which, for some reason or other, comes to mind whenever I catch Alexander staring out the window (which he has ample opportunity to do in this house).

Last night I put him in those same green pyjamas and this morning I decided I needed a picture of him staring out the window again, since those green pyjamas that were last year slightly too large are this year slightly too snug (and his toes are poking through the little footies, having been worn down by years of use between him and several of his siblings). He won't be wearing them for much longer...

He's a walking, talking boy now, much taller than he was a year ago, much steadier, too. His opportunity for bedhead has increased fourfold. But he's just as sweet as ever and still enjoys looking out the window.
