Here's the talk that Rachel gave today in primary. It was fun to sit down and write this with her. She is a very wise girl.
I am thankful that Jesus Christ was resurrected because it means we can be resurrected. I came to earth to get a body. We wanted to get a body so we can be like Heavenly Father. On earth our goal is to return to Heavenly Father and Jesus but we all make mistakes. The atonement saves us from our sins. The resurrection saves us from death.
When we are resurrected our body and our spirit are connected again. We can live with our families and be with Heavenly Father and Jesus.
Moses 1:39 says, "For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
I am thankful for the atonement and the resurrection of Jesus because we can be resurrected, too. I know the church is true and that Jesus is our Savior! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
The microphone wasn't working today so she had to say her talk without it, which was difficult because she falls into mumbling when she's reading. I kept having to remind her to speak up.
When she was reading from Moses she definitely said "immorality" instead of "immortality," but that's alright because I might have been the only person in the room who heard her (because I was standing right beside her instead of sitting in the audience).
She did a fine job; it's a scary thing to get up and talk in front of so many people!
