Grandpa picked up some bubble bath at the store the other day (at least, he's the one taking credit for it) and today the girls got to try it out after dinner. I can't remember the last time they've had a proper bubble bath (ie. one using actual bubble bath solution instead of having Daddy pour half a bottle of shampoo in the water). It's been a while for Rachel and I really don't think Miriam has actually ever had one.
They loved it. Of course.
It didn't take long for Miriam to taste the bubbles. I knew she would; she's my little oral-explorer. Everything ends up in her mouth. She had a mustache and/or beard for most of bath time because she kept going in for more tastes.
These pictures show how well my girls play together. They either completely ignore each other...
...or make each other cry. *sigh*
This particular bout of crying was due to having a rubber duck ruthlessly snatched from her hands.
Let's see Exhibit B, shall we?
Here is Miriam playing with an elephant and a tiger.
And now here's Rachel with the same elephant and tiger only seconds later, cackling with joy at having successfully made her sister miserable once more.
It was the last straw for Miriam, who started crying again and wouldn't settle down until I took her out of the tub.
Have I mentioned that I'm super excited for when these girls are teenagers?
I'm not, so that's probably why it hasn't been mentioned.
Today was particularly emotional.
For both of the girls.
I'm very glad it's over.
I should have been the one having the luxurious bubble bath.
