This year for Valentine’s Day we resurrected our tradition of making heart-shaped pizza. I was trying to remember why we hadn’t done it last year—but last year was the Chili Cook-off, so that explains it.
We added hear-shaped cucumbers to our meal this year. They took forever to cut out.
Rachel and I spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen cutting, mixing, stirring, and shaping things. We even made bread.
It turned out wonderfully.
After dinner I spent my evening reading and cleaning up from the adventures Rachel and I had had in the kitchen while Andrew worked on his thesis. He quit work around midnight and helped me finish up in the kitchen and hang up the laundry.
He’s helpful. That’s just one of the many reasons I love him.
Miriam was also present during Valentine’s Day, but she wasn’t very involved in festivities. I guess that’s what she gets for only being 3 months old. She was, however, the star of the Skype conversations we had with our parents since Rachel refused to come in front of the camera.
I think it's been too long since I saw a picture of you. You are beautiful.
